John Philip Sousa Award
Voted by the membership of the entire Rosemount HS Band program, and awarded to a senior band member (having participated in 3 consecutive Trimesters this year in band) for outstanding musicianship, achievement, leadership and dedication to music and the Rosemount HS Band organization. This is one of the highest awards in the Rosemount HS band program, and has been presented annually at Rosemount HS since 1958. This is not a “popularity” vote. The recipient of this award will have their name inscribed on a brass plaque that will be proudly displayed in the RHS Bandroom.

Louis Armstrong Jazz Award
Named after the legendary American jazz artist, Louis Armstrong. This recognition is awarded to the outstanding senior jazz performer by a vote of the membership of the Jazz Bands. This award recognizes leadership, outstanding creative jazz musicianship, improvisation and dedication to Jazz Band. The recipient of this award will have their name inscribed on a brass plaque, and the plaque will be displayed in the Bandrom.

Voted by the membership of the entire Rosemount HS Band program, and awarded to a senior band member (having participated in 3 consecutive Trimesters this year in band) for outstanding musicianship, achievement, leadership and dedication to music and the Rosemount HS Band organization. This is one of the highest awards in the Rosemount HS band program, and has been presented annually at Rosemount HS since 1958. This is not a “popularity” vote. The recipient of this award will have their name inscribed on a brass plaque that will be proudly displayed in the RHS Bandroom.

Named after the legendary American jazz artist, Louis Armstrong. This recognition is awarded to the outstanding senior jazz performer by a vote of the membership of the Jazz Bands.
