The Marching
Band at Rosemount High School is part of
a comprehensive instrumental music
program involving over 400 students
actively engaged in six concert bands,
four jazz ensembles, numerous small
ensembles and a rigorous private lesson
program. Several students from the
Rosemount Band program have been
selected for membership in this year's
Minnesota All-State Music Ensembles.
This year's show is entitled,
"Catch This!" and features the
music of Russian classical composers
Mikhail Glinka (1804-1857) and Dimitri
Shostakovich (1906-1975). Glinka was
regarded as the "father of Russian
classical music" and Shostakovich was
one of the most "celebrated composers of
the 20th century." |
The Rosemount High
School Marching Band wishes to thank our
