CONCORDIA COLLEGE HONOR BAND

Congratulations to the following RHS Band members for being selected as members of the Concordia College Honor Band:

Emily Holtz – Percussion
Matt Lanier – Euphonium
Austin Phillips – Trombone
Leah Reber - Trumpet

Concordia College is recognizing these young people as the finest high school instrumental musicians in the six-state/province area. We are very proud of these students and this significant musical
accomplishment! 

They will be participating in an exciting weekend of music on the Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) campus (April 9-11):

•Rehearsing and performing challenging band repertoire under the direction of distinguished American composer Dr. David Gillingham and Concordia Band Director Dr. Scott Jones.

•Performing chamber repertoire coached by Concordia's wind and percussion faculty

•Attending master classes and performances by the critically acclaimed American

These students will participate in a weekend of music rehearsals at the U of M and present a concert:

*Ted Mann Concert Hall (West Bank - U of M campus)
*We encourage all RHS Band members and their families to attend this outstanding
concert (free admission and it occurs in an outstanding concert venue - Ted Mann

2009 Rosemount Marching Band Awards:

The 2009 Rosemount Marching Band received numerous awards this season including being named the 2009 Minnesota State Champion Marching Band

ST. OLAF COLLEGE HS HONOR BAND - Saturday, November 14

Congratulations to the RHS Band members who have been selected by St. Olaf College to participate in the St. Olaf College High School Honor Band under the direction of Dr. Timothy Mahr and Dr. Paul Niemisto

• David Behm – Bass Trombone
• Michael Brossart – French Horn
• Emily Holtz – Percussion
• Austin Phillips – Trombone
• Leah Reber - Trumpet

There were over 300 student nominees, representing some of the finest instrumental music students in Minnesota. The 150 students chosen will rehearse throughout the day on November 14, and then present a concert along with the bands from St. Olaf College, at 4 PM in the St. Olaf Skoglund Auditorium, on the campus of St. Olaf College.

**The concert is free and open to the public – everyone is encouraged and welcome to attend this outstanding concert!
